Hello,

a bit about me:

I believe that the sole reward of teaching is the inner satisfaction rather than money or power of authority. The reasons for opting out of this field are obvious.  It can be a lack of support from the parents because the teacher is held responsible for a student’s failure. It can also be a financial issue, too heavy of a workload, or even limited to no recognition/ appreciation. Worthy teachers find themselves encouraged and uplifted by the little perky moments in the company of their students. Teachers enter the field of education in the hope of making a difference in the world. Every teacher has to be aware that everything they do or say is being monitored by a mass amount of kids and it will leave them with lasting impressions. We are the role models of all children; we are the profession that teaches all other professions. If chosen for noble purposes, the teaching profession is the greatest gift for mankind.

Often times, I’m referred to as the "unofficial teacher" in the sense that I am always playing the role of the teacher to anyone and everyone of varying ages/ levels. It's become second nature to me. I have extensive background knowledge of children and their behaviors/ habits. I have been babysitting for four years now.  I’ve been given the opportunity to work with kids that are three months-ten years of age because of this. I currently continue to babysit, taking on five or six kids at a time who are all between the ages of one year- nine years of age. In addition to babysitting, I have also taken four years of teacher education courses through the Lake Career and Technical Center, (or LCTC), located in Camdenton Missouri. I have also been blessed with the opprotunity to teach high school life skills students how to throw pottery on the wheel. If I have learned anything from the countless hours that i have spent with children, it's that patience and creativity is a necessity. I enjoy working with kids because they are full of unrecognized talent, intelligence, innocence, and beauty; it is my job to bring them to discover it as I guide them down the path of learning.
